Thank you very much, Lenore, it is an honor! And thank you for describing this particular work in these words. I saw this gentleman in front of me in exactly that pose in Jerusalem. I slowly lifted my camera looking at him with an inquisitive smile. He turned his eyes to look at me for a second, then continued looking away. I took that as a permission and took his portrait. It's one of some of my photos that I feel a deeper connection to.
